I came back from a recent trip to Manila with a dry cough. Very soon, I had muscle ache and a headache. I usually never have headaches so what is this telling me? The next day, I felt a sensation of coldness and rawness on my back, similar to what I experienced two years ago when I was diagnosed with pneumonia. Muscle testing confirmed the presence of pneumonia bacteria.
Those who are familiar with Dr. Jaime Dy Liacco’s therapy (raw food, fertilized egg, and hot red pepper can relate). To kill bacteria, Dr. Dy Liacco’s therapy is to use the Zapper. This is a tool with batteries and can be attached to an electric source. With the handles, one allows the mildest electric current to pass through one’s palms to the body thus, killing the bacteria guided by muscle testing on how long and what calibration to use.
During the process of zapping, I could immediately feel the improvement, first starting on my head. By the next day, I was free of pneumonia and streptococcus bacteria. But it left me very tired and feeling “far away”. I felt sleepy and slowed down. I also knew I had to “touch the sea”, immerse myself in the ocean to revitalize my body.
I asked my husband to take me to the Dauin Marine Sanctuary the next day. My usual routine is to snorkel along the buoy that separates the sanctuary, so I snorkelled perpendicular to the shoreline. The sea was calm and very clear, with a slight current. I glided gently with the current and lo, came to a shoal of sardines only about five meters away from the shore in shallow water.
This is the third time in two years that I meet them more or less in the same place. Glints of silver shine on their scales when they move, and suddenly in synchronicity, they move towards one direction, and then depending on my own gestures, they would move the opposite direction. I glide towards them, and the thousands of fishes surround me in a circle dance, divide, and meet again. I am in the middle gliding quietly, watching the silent show unfold before my eyes and senses.
I am realising this special moment of beauty and wonder in the timeless world underwater. Time is suspended. I just want to remain there but I realize I have to go for it is not my element, and I am only visiting.
God indeed made the world perfect, and may He be praised.
