A must-read article

This is regarding the story of the Buglasan, written by Jackie Veloso-Antonio. It is always beautiful to remember our living past — a must-read for all the new Buglasan organizers whose knowledge of our past, and visions of preserving it just now seem empty, and don’t make sense at all.

Viva to all the people who actually believe that we have a culture, one that is not adulterated with implants from other provinces which they insist should be part of Buglasan.

The ills of commercialism have reinvented the real reason and purpose of the Buglasan that made this cultural heritage revival a much-loved (past tense with -ed) cultural event.

To become a true Negrense is a birth right but to become one who understands what genuinely is a Negrense is difficult.
