In 2022,  the Villarosa family faced a life-changing situation as Dr. Jun Villarosa was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. He was advised to undergo dialysis.

Knowing the huge amount they would need for dialysis, they approached friends for help. Many came to their aid but they still had a huge amount to raise because their ultimate goal was to get a kidney transplant.

“My friend told us to ask Cong. Chiquiting Sagarbarria for help, so we did,” Jun’s wife, Natalie recounted. Without hesitation, Congressman Chiquiting extended help, which enabled Jun to have a successful kidney transplant.

Now back at work, Dr. Villarosa says he is happy and grateful at the turn of events that enabled him to live a normal life once more. He also appreciates every little thing that makes life better.

“Now, in return, I continue my profession to pay it forward. This is my second life,” Dr. Villarosa says.

His amazing recovery brought Dr Villarosa back to his old playful self. “He is now like a child!” Nathalie gushes, “although he is very careful — he stays away from liquor and soft drinks.”

Dr. Jun and Nathalie Villamor  advice people who have problems not to be embarrassed about it.  “If you have problems, don’t hesitate to ask for help. I approached several people for help but Congressman Chiquiting and Governor Chaco helped me a lot,” Dr. Villarosa said.

“Thank you, Congressman Chiquiting, for all that you have done to help us since our operation three years ago.  You never left us.”
