The Negros Oriental Agriculture & Fisheries Extension Center will soon be easily accessible after the inauguration and ceremonial ribbon-cutting of its temporary office at the Legislative Building.
Vice Gov. Jake Reyes and SP Board Member Woodrow Maquiling Sr., chair of the SP Committee on Agriculture, and executive director of the Provincial Agricultural & Fisheries Extension Systems, led the inauguration, together with Provincial Agriculturist Emmanuel Caduyac, OIC Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Melody Dulce Vilan, APCO-DA PATCO Alejandro Rafal, and other officials from the provincial and national government agencies.
The Province will serve as an extension hub that synchronizes agricultural plans and programs, as well as orchestrate the activities of the various stakeholders together with the Department of Agriculture.
The PAFES is institutionalized to strengthen collaboration between the Department of Agriculture, local government units, academe, and private sector to bring extension services to the grassroots level. (PR)
