Foundation University High School and Grade School students perform in a variety show for Buglasan Festival 2015 at Robinson’s Place Dumaguete last October 24, 2015.

Aptly named “Alice in Musicaland,” it showcases the rich and diverse talents of FUGHS students. Taking cue from one of the most beloved fictional characters in the children’s’ book, the show displays the mishaps and adventures of Alice in a world full of mysteries and new surprises.

Starting with a flash mob as mood setting, the show then progressed into an Invocation led by Kindergarten pupils clad in their fairy outfits. The violinists of FUHS played to the tunes of pop music, followed by a delightful performance of the ballerinas as Alice sees them as flowers and bloom fairies.

Highlights of the show include the iPad Band, an interpretative dance number and dance sport and the ever-famous FUHS Acoustic Band. But the real show stopper was FUGS’ mini version of Bruno Mars- who sang his heart out to “Grenade” much to the delight and applause of the audience.

This was made possible by the Faculty and Staff of FUGHS, the student teachers from the College of Education and headed by University High School Principal Mrs. Melanie Austero and Grade School Principal Mr. Chris Calumba. (Febby Marton Rule)
