Australian Ambassador Steven Robinson met with Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and other City officials Monday.

The City gave a welcome ceremony for the Ambassador at the SP session hall.

Ambassador Robinson said he wanted to learn about Mayor Remollo’s priorities, the impact of COVID-19 to Dumaguete City and to explore further opportunities for engagement and collaboration.

The Ambassador also personally thanked Mayor Remollo for his assistance with the repatriation flights for Australian nationals/tourists in March 2020 facilitated by the City Tourism Office.

Ambassador Robinson also met separately with the Dumaguete City alumni of the Australian Awards, who are promising young leaders and recipients of the international scholarships and short courses that allowed them the opportunity to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia.
