Australia basketball team paid a courtesy call to Mayor Sagarbarria

The Sports Ambassadors Australian Basketball Team from Perth, Western Australia paid a courtesy call on Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria Wednesday as the team visited the Province for a series of friendly basketball matches that run until Jan. 11.

Pastor Gary Visitacion, national sports director of Sports Ambassadors Philippines, said the project is in cooperation with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

The Australian basketball team played the Dumaguete City selection team Wednesday at the City Hall Quadrangle. Then they played on Jan. 5 versus the Negros Oriental State University and the Silliman University squad. On Jan. 6, they played in Amlan town and in Bacong on Jan 7.

Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria , with the assistance of the City Sports Office headed by Joe Guirit prepared a warm welcome for the visiting team, headed by Giles Creelman, with Danny Cook, Conan Prince, Fletcher Creelman, Michael Valenti, Steve Cressie, Hedley Taylor, Andrew Stock.

The Sports Ambassadors Philippines is a ministry of Philippine Challenge Inc.
