The Bais City grand launching of the 21st National Art Month, featuring Hersley-Ven Casero’s Ha? Art Exhibit, registered one of the largest number of participants in the on-the-spot art contest.
The Bais Arts Festival hosted 127 emerging artists from different elementary and high schools.
The event was curated by Emmylou Violeta, a Visual Arts specialist from Bais City Pilot School – Special Class in the Arts.
Bais Mayor Karen Villanueva graced the event with an inspirational message honoring the arts, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The contest was judged by visiting guest artists Anna Koosmann and Paul Benzi Florendo from Foundation University. They awarded top three prizes to the elementary and high school finalists:
1st Place – Kenith E. Evangelista from Tongculogan Elementary School; 2nd Place – Jasper Aguilar from BCPS-SPED Hearing Impaired Program; 3rd Place – Ana Cortez from BCPS – Special Science Elementary School
1st Place – Jessa Mae Paculanang from Bais City LCC – La Consolacion College High School, 2nd Place – Angelie Balansag from Tongculogan High School; 3rd Place – Rodalyn Cabildo From Tongculogan High School
A special recognition was awarded to Micko Asahel Dionisio for traveling the longest distance from Bayawan City. (PR)
