Bais Mayor honors outstanding barangay officials

Bais City Mayor Karen F. Villanueva has extended the City’s recognition for the Barangay II Chair Danilo H. Alama for winning the Outstanding Punong Barangay award in Negros Oriental for the second consecutive year.

As a highlight of the flag retreat ceremony last Friday, Mayor Villanueva also awarded the barangay tanods of Barangay II who were cited as the best barangay tanod team throughout Negros Oriental.

Alama was awarded for his outstanding performance, leadership and innovative ideas while the barangay watchmen were cited for being the best barangay tanod team in the maintenance of peace and order in the barangay.

The awards received are designed to give recognition to barangay officials who, in the discharge of their duties and responsibilities have shown exemplary performance.

The Mayor presented the awardees with certificates of appreciation, as she urged them to continue or surpass their exceptional performance. Villanueva also exhorted other barangay and city officials of Bais to emulate the example of the Barangay II officials for the betterment of the whole community. (PR)
