Dumaguete Councilor Jose “Petit” Baldado and businessman Gilbert Fuentes have been appointed as members of the Board of Trustees of the Young Men’s Christian Association of Negros Oriental Inc.
This was announced by Greg Fernandez Jr., YMCA general secretary and chief executive officer. Baldado and Fuentes were appointed to replace the vacancies left by the recent deaths of an officer and a Board member.
The 11-member Board of Trustees is the policy-making body of the YMCA, headed by its President Dr. Leo Cabrera.
The officers are Orlando Alonso as corporate secretary; Atanacio Llena as treasurer; Nenita Bangay as assistant treasurer; and Ruben Badon as auditor.
Aside from Baldado and Fuentes, the other Board members are Dr. Delma Manila, Nicanor Ernesto Tagle, Rufino Sun Jr. II, and Leonida Wu. (PR)
