Bayawan beauty vies for Ms. Negros Island

Bayawan City Mayor Ismael Martinez has informed the Negros Oriental State University that NORSU student May Alexandra Krizia Hamsirani, Miss Bayawan City of 2012, has been designated as their official representative in the Search for the 2016 Negros Island Region Queen.

The pageant will be held Jan. 14 next year in Kabankalan City during the Sinulog de Kabankalan.

Hamsirani was the 2014 Ms NORSU. She is now a senior Mass Communication student.

Two weeks ago, she crowned this year’s Miss NORSU Michelle Teves from the NORSU Bais campus, who is the reigning Miss Buglasan.

First runner up is Arts and Sciences representative Leister Jane Decimal, who is also Miss Toboso in Negros Occidental. Second runner up is Caryl June Alforque representing Engineering & Architecture. Third runner up is Mary Pauline Paltinca of NORSU-Siaton; and fourth runner up is Wayne Aban representing the College of Criminal Justice Education.

This year’s Mistier NORSU is Jude Zandel Zurbito of Nursing, Pharmacy & Allied Health Sciences. First runner up is Jake Lee Emmanuel Abing of Arts & Sciences; second runner up is Johann Samuel Villanueva of NORSU-Bais; third runner up is Theodore Anthony Saycon of Engineering; and fourth runner up is John Arthur Sarahina of NORSU-Guihulngan.
