8 bets vie for ‘Hara sa FU’

To unleash the best in every Foundationite woman is the prime goal of Hara sa FU Pageant each year, in time for the annual Kasadyaan Festival. What does it take to be crowned as Hara sa FU? Beauty, intelligence, personality and above all, a big heart to serve the community. It is innate for every Hara sa FU to be of service to other people as agent of change in the society through various sustainable advocacies.
 

April Ann P. Eroja, 19
BSED-English, College of Education

Burning with passion to pursue her advocacy on food conservation, April wants to utilize her Hara sa FU experience as a tool for self improvement and a source of enlightenment for other people. She aims to bring the message of not wasting rice which is in consonance with the university’s corporate social responsibility “Rice is Life” because she herself saw how hard it is to grow rice being the daughter of a farmer. April wants to be a cultural dance teacher after graduation aside from teaching English.
 
 

Analyn M. Sarabillo, 20
BS Tourism, College of Hospitality Management

Her alumni parents, the student-friendly and cozy environment at Foundation University inspired Analyn to transfer from her previous school. Through the pageant, she aims to boost her self-confidence and improve her skills. Though this aspiring flight attendant has joined pageants, she looks forward to Hara sa FU, being one of the most prestigious campus titles in this university town of Dumaguete.
 
 

Christine Jane B. Arquio, 17
Management Accounting
College of Business Administration

The transformation from her usual boyish looks to a more feminine type is one of the main reasons Christine would like to achieve through Hara sa FU. For her, beauty springs from knowing one’s flaws and the pageant itself, is a door and a must-grab opportunity for Foundationite women whose goal is to be empowered. Christine sees herself as a successful certified public accountant years from now.
 
 

Ellaine T. Gabotero, 17
BS Computer Science
College of Computer Studies

From being unpredictable, shy and mysterious, Ellaine aims to come out of her shell through this campus pageant. She wants to show more of her better self and to help the community by way of her advocacy. She takes pride in the University’s teaching methods aside from the state of the art facilities. Years from now, Ellaine would see herself as a successful computer programmer traveling across the country and the globe.
 
 

Ronaliza Joy M. Sapon, 17
BS Nursing College of Nursing

Ronaliza’s happy-go-lucky persona gives off positivity to the group. As a pageant-goer, she considers every experience as another stepping-stone towards reaching success in life. Joining pageants has gained her an advantage in dealing with different characters and personalities aside from becoming competent and equipped with the right attitude and skills. In relation to becoming a registered nurse in the future, this is her means of becoming an effective individual in the community.
 
 

Laila Tabalanza Sarion, 20
AB Political Science, College of Arts and Sciences/ Department of Architecture and Fine Arts

Growing up in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to both Filipino parents, Laila offers a different viewpoint and opinion due to the culture where she was raised. Though a new thing for her, she sees the pageant as an opportunity to prove that she can do things, her own way. She mentioned winning as her main purpose of joining Hara sa FU. Soon after graduation, Laila will pursue her goal of becoming a lawyer.
 
 

Ivy P. Patajo, 18
BS Agriculture, College of Agriculture/Criminology/Engineering

Though being identified sometimes as “one of the boys” due to her male-dominated course, Ivy still finds her own way of making her presence manifested through her jolly persona. Boys would really be amazed listening to her powerful and soothing singing voice. Though she wants to become a well-known artist someday, Ivy still wants to get hold of a degree in Agriculture for she considers it very interesting and fun.
 
 

Gabriella Portada Mahmuti, 16
Senior High School
Foundation Preparatory Academy


Young and sweet sixteen Gabriella is the youngest among the group of candidates this year. Born to a Filipina mother and a British father – whom she longs to see all these years, her looks spring from the blend of oriental and western features, adding up to the uniqueness of her beauty. Gabriella aims to conquer the heights with her simple, passionate and God-fearing character. Her aim is to travel the world and to inspire other people.
