Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria announced the extension in the City’s operation of the business one-stop-shop (BOSS) in Dumaguete upto Feb. 15.

Mayor Sagarbarria said extending BOSS operations to Feb. 15 will give business owners more time to prepare their documents.

The business one-stop-shop provides a speedy and more convenient business licensing application process.

The BOSS processing which is located at the second floor of City Hall, puts in one place all requirements needed by business owners for registration such as barangay clearance, sanitary permits, Bureau of Fire permit, among others.

National agencies like PhilHealth, Social Security System, and the Bureau of Internal Revenue have also set up tables at the one-stop-shop.

The BOSS program was an advocacy of the late Mayor Agustin Perdices, aimed at reducing red tape, and collecting taxes efficiently. It was created to encourage entrepreneurs to register their businesses.
