Business one-stop shop opens

The Business One-Stop Shop in Dumaguete City finally began its full operation Monday at the ground floor at the City Hall near GSO building.

Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria said the BOSS, which aims to provide a one-stop action, will facilitate the processing and documentation of all paper requirements for the establishment of a business enterprise.

He said the creation of the BOSS in Dumaguete, is a relevant step towards sustaining employment, which is foremost in President Benigno Aquino’s Agenda.

Sagarbarria, said he expected to have more than 4,000 businesses in Dumaguete will avail the BOSS program, which is the major government offices such as the DTI, the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Social Security System, Pag-ibig, Bureau of Fire Proterction and local agencies such as the City Veterinary Office, City Enterprise & Economic Department, City Engineers Office and other agency for the processing of the papers.

The Business One-Stop Shop in Dumaguete City launched October 2010.

The B.O.S.S.is an all-in-one venue that houses the mandatory government agencies in charge in the issuance of business permits, licenses and registration, among others.

The project aims to cut down the time, money and effort usually needed to secure or renew business permit and allows enterprises to complete all business requirements at one time, according to City Information Officer Steve Gabriel.
