Calindagan clinches championship in Catarata Memorial Cup inter-barangay sportsfest
Supporters of the Calindagan basketball team erupted into a boisterous celebration as the team clinched the championship title of the 2023 Kagawad Boni Catarata Memorial Cup Inter-Barangay Sports Competition with a final score of 67-64 against Daro Thursday night.
The Calindagan team was powered by the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) Aljun Poblacion. On the other hand, Team Barangay Daro slid to become Runner-up following the hotly-contested basketball game.
Barangay Camanjac emerged as 2nd Runner-up after defeating Poblacion 1 (Tinago), which settled as 3rd Runner-up with a final score of 79-72 in the pre-championship game.
Councilor Maria Marife Cordova and Sangguniang Kabataan Renz Macion led the awarding ceremony at the conclusion of the matches. (City PIO)
