DESPITE heavy rains, ten teams from Cebu, Bohol and other areas in Negros Oriental were gathered in Dumaguete City for the recently held 1st Camella Airsoft Challenge.
Dubbed as “Camella Invasion”, the airsoft competition was held at Camella Dumaguete site along Palinpinon Road, Dumaguete City. Many airsoft enthusiasts have registered to take on the challenge despite the unfriendly weather.
Geared up and armed with their airsoft assault rifles, the 10 members of each team relived a part their childhood — playing baril-barilan — with tactics and sophisticated weapons this time. The top plum was gained by the EDEA team.
Hundreds of spectators also crowded the Camella site for the event. It was also the people’s chance to check out the full-swing developments of the first class subdivision.
The airsoft challenge was an opportunity made possible by Camella to give everyone the chance to utilize the site for recreation before it becomes fully developed with concrete roads, underground drainage system, housing units and amenities for future homeowners to truly enjoy.
The construction of the model houses, which will be launched in September this year, is ongoing. The developing Camella site aims to give the people in Dumaguete City a better feel of what a best home is.
Outright cash discounts and freebies were given to buyers who grabbed the chance to reserve units during the airsoft challenge. The winning team of the Camella Airsoft Challenge, meanwhile, received gift packs and plaques of recognition.
