16 candidates vie for Miss Dumaguete and Miss Teen

Sixteen candidates for the Miss Dumaguete and Miss Teen were formally announced by the organizers during the selection Tuesday afternoon.

Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria said the fiesta celebration will be highlighted by the Miss Teen Dumaguete and Miss Dumaguete pageant on Nov. 23 at the Lamberto Macias Sports Complex at the Capitol Area.

Jessica Layumas of the City Tourism Office said the candidates for Miss Dumaguete are Gesta Riva Gamo representing Poblacion 3, Marie Cris Garcia for Batinguel, Chloe Marie Harris for Talay, Geraldine Villasam for Bunao, Aletheia Faith Elwood for Daro, Cyril Rose Alquisola for Motong, Sheila May Laspinas for Banilad, and Melba Ann Macasaet for Taclobo.

The candidates for Miss Teen Dumaguete represent the various secondary schools in Dumaguete City: Ronalyn Ann Rigala for Taclobo High School, Rushel Jean Limbaga for Herminigilda Gloria Memorial High, Julie Canoy for Piapi High, Cherry Ann Lanciso for Junob National High, Mary Angelique Banogon for Dumaguete Science High, Alaizah Dawn Lasola for N.O. High School, Mary Joy Ceriales for City High School, and Jelly Anne Abiera for Camanjac High School.

The presentation of all candidates will be on Oct. 24 at 5:30 pm at Robinsons Place.
