Eleven ladies are competing to clinch the most-coveted Miss Dumaguete 2016 title in this year’s beauty pageant as part of the City’s annual fiesta celebration in November.
The winner will become Dumaguete’s ambassadress of goodwill, and will help promote the City as a tourism and retirement destination.
Angelica Faye Evero of barangay Batinguel, 18, and a 3rd year AB Political Science student of Silliman University; Mary Lincel Patrocinio, 19, and a fourth year Bachelor in Business Administration major in Management student of Silliman University; Malikka Rua Penalosa, 18, a 2nd year Political Science student of Silliman University; Frerolyn Maria Espina, 19, a 4th year Accountancy student of the Negros Oriental State University; Natalie Dale Portugaleza of barangay Bagacay, 23, a Bachelor of Secondary Education-major in MAPEH graduate of Silliman University; Monessa Gonzales from Bunao, 26-year old registered nurse; Junelyn Calongcong from barangay Calindadan, 20, and a BS Business Administration-major in Management Accountancy graduate of Foundation University; Jo-An Arbas from Candau-ay, 18, and a BS Elementary Education-major in English graduate of Foundation University; Samantha Villahermosa, 23, a 3rd year Psychology student of Silliman University; Deborah Villaflores, 21, BS in Tourism Management at Asian College; and Charlene Joy Futalan, 18, a 4th year BS Business Administration at NORSU.
They were presented during the press launch last weekend at Sierra Hotel where a press conference followed with members of the Dumaguete media who cast their secret ballots for the Darling of the Press Award.
The Talent Night will be on Nov. 20 and Coronation Night on Nov. 23. (PNA)
