The College of Business Administration held a successful College Week celebration last August 18-23.
A Holy Mass started the week, celebrated by Msgr. Julius Perpetuo Heruela, the university chaplain, followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Dr. Charlotte Cariño, CBA dean.
Several activities were lined up by the Student Government under the helm of student governor Mark Angelo Montano. Business students battled it out with skills, talents and brains to vie for the coveted awards in the business quiz bowl, oratorical competition and business idea tilt, song writing and speed typing contests, promotional brochure and video contest and the CBA Business Executives 2014.
The Junior Institute of Management Accountants (JIMA) emerged as the Over-All Champion after winning the Business Quiz Bowl, Oratorical Tilt, Business Idea Competition and the Promotional Brochure and Video. They also won 1st runner-up for the Song Writing Contest and Booth-Making.
Juvelyn Legaria and Janroe Morados, both Accountancy majors, bested 7 other pairs to be the CBA Business Executives. Legaria and Morados will now be part of the activities of the College of Business for the entire year. A Business Conversance and Olympics was also held to promote camaraderie and unity amongst business students. (Febby Marton Rule)
