Chiquiting gives P210T for livelihood

The city government of Dumaguete, through the Sectoral Desk Office, turned over a checque of P210,000 to the members of the Cadawinonan Socialized Housing Residents Association Inc. (CaSHRA) in a ceremony held Tuesday afternoon at the Mayor’s office.

Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria presented the checque to CaSHRA president Kurt Rodriguez. Present during the turn-over were City Administrator William E. Ablong, and representatives of the 300-strong association.

Rodriguez said P160,000 of the amount will be used to purchase a passenger vehicle, which will be used for emergency cases; P30,000 will used to build a pharmacy; P20,000 will be invested on medicines they will sell in the botica.

Sagarbarria pledged to continue supporting groups of new entrepreneurs like this to help them jumpstart their livelihood projects. (Dgte PIO)
