If not delayed by fortuitous events, the opening and concreting of the road network for the proposed site of the satellite market in Barangay Bajumpandan will be done before the end of the current year 2021.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo said that the road network will be connected to the Metro Dumaguete Diversion road to provide alternative routes for people to move their goods and services, which will decongest traffic in the downtown area and allow new growth centers to thrive in the upland barangays consistent with the Master Plan of the city.
The proposed site of the satellite market is the donated properties of the Ouano family in support of the city administration’s efforts to create more economic activities and opportunities in the upland barangays. (PIO)
