City has new engineers

The Negros Oriental State University College of Engineering & Architecture posted a 94.74 passing rate in the recent Civil Engineering Licensure Examination, where 18 out of 19 first-time takers passed the professional board exams.

The Professional Regulation Commission announced that 3,168 out of 6,584 passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Civil Engineering, putting the national passing rate at 44 percent.

The consistency of NORSU CEA in producing high marks in engineering licensure examinations have earned NORSU the distinction of being among the top 10 universities in the country with a good Engineering program, according to the Philippines and Universities College guide website www.finduniversity.ph

The newly licensed engineers are Raymond Abiera, Eumer Anoya, Kimberly Asa, Alexander Caingcoy, Josie Mae Dingal, Mae Grace Dinglasa, Jonathan Euraoba, Francil Dave Filipinas, Mon Carlo Frejoles, Essyl Lisondra, Cone Ojales, Emma Ojario, Jesrelle Patenio, Lourdito Revidad, Gabriel Robedizo, Dennis Tumala, Jessalyn Velez, and Neil Allen Ybañez.
