The City Health Office in cooperation with the City Veterinary Office conducted an anti-dengue drive against dengue virus throughout the 30 barangays in the city.
Grace Echavez of the City Health Office said they started their campaign in barangays Batinguel and Bajumpandan.
Aug. 1 and 2 will be at barangay Candau-ay and Aug. 4 and 8 at barangay Junob.
On the other hand, City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah Talla said the health center is intensifying the information education campaign highlighting the 4S: Search and destroy; Seek early consultation; Self protection measures; and Say no to fogging.
Signs and symptoms of dengue fever are: sudden rise of fever for two to seven days, body and joint pains, headache, body weakness, small and reddish rashes in mostly the arms and legs, abdominal pain, nose and gum bleeding, vomiting, and defecating of dark colored waste due to bleeding in the stomach, Dr. Talla warned.
