Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria declared the observance of the 36th National Disability-Prevention & Rehabilitation Week through the City Social Welfare Office, with activities that run until July 23.
A thanksgiving mass and a motorcade parade were part of the opening salvo on July 17 at Quezon Park.
This Sunday, July 20 is the Tayada sa Plaza presentations. There will be free massage at 9am on July 21 at Quezon Park; a skills training for people with disabilities-women on July 22 in Purok Kawayan, barangay Cadawinonan; a jail visitation on July 23 at the Bureau of Jail Management & Penology; and a mini-Olympic on July 26-27 at the City Gymnasium.
The theme for this year’s celebration is Talino at Paninindigan sa Taong may Kapansanan: Pasaporte sa Kaunlaran.
