Preparations have been finalised by the city government of Dumaguete, through the Human Resource Office, for the month-long commemoration of the 115th Philippine Civil Service celebration starting Tuesday, September 1.
Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria said different activities have been scheduled by the CSC field offices, national government agencies, and local government units in the Region in line with this year’s theme “ Kayang Kaya Mo, Lingkod Bayani”
Sagarbarria said the highlights of the celebration include the opening of a sportsfest which will see action in basketball, volleyball, kickball, table tennis, dodgeball and chess.
City Human Resource Officer Jun Tenorio said a Fun Run is also scheduled on Sunday, September 13. It will start at 5:30 a.m. at Sta. Catalina St. and will end at the Quezon Park. There will also be a Zumba dance session for those who will not join the fun run.
