Dumaguete City will be sending a delegation to Davao City on July 26 for the inauguration of the daily flight Dumaguete-Davao via Cebu Pacific and vice versa.
As head of the delegation, Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and the entire delegation composed of City Councilors, and City Tourism Officer Jacqueline Veloso-Antonio are expected to confer with Davao City Mayor Sarah Duterte and other officials during the inaugural ceremony.
Cebu Pacific had earlier announced the Dumaguete-Davao and vice versa flight which Mayor Remollo and other stakeholders here welcomed as an opportunity to boost economic and investment opportunities.
Meanwhile, the Department of Interior & Local Government will conduct a simultaneous lighting activity of landmarks and other heritage structures on Aug. 8 throughout the country.
City Tourism Officer Antonio said Dumaguete is fortunate to be included in the list of 50 cities all over the country as venue for the simultaneous lighting activity.
