The city government of Dumaguete turned over another one-storey school building with two classrooms to the Dumaguete City High School in barangay Calindagan.
Dumaguete Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria led the turnover ceremony, attended by 2nd District Cong. George Arnaiz, Gov. Roel Degamo, and Department of Education Dumaguete City Schools Assistant Supt. Dr. Emigdio Omictin.
Sagarbarria recalled that the additional school building was an initial project started by the late Gov.Emilio Macias II.
He vowed that the City government will continue to improve the delivery of educational services in the City, and help DepEd’s aim of providing quality basic education.
The turnover was also witnessed by the barangay officials of barangay Calindagan, teachers and students.
Father Ronnie Ablong, pastoral director of St. Joseph Seminary of the Diocese of Dumaguete, administered the blessing of the classroom building. (PIO)
