The Civil Service Commission of Region 7 recently awarded a Certificate of Accreditation to the Negros Oriental State University Federated Faculty Association (NORSUFFA).

Some 200 faculty members gathered Oct .12 to witness the awarding of the CA by the CSC field office representative Director Merlinda Quillano to Dr. Elsa Ilona Bulado, NORSUFFA president.

A short forum on Collective Negotiation Agreement conducted by Quillano followed right after the awarding of the CA. Quillano discussed matters pertaining benefits of the faculty, and other issues regarding CNA.

Being elected NORSUFFA president, and for NORSUFFA getting the winning votes during election conducted earlier supervised by the Department of Labor and Employment in Region-7, on which faculty association represents in the BOR, has qualified Dr. Bulado as a member of the NORSU Board of Regents.

On the other hand, elected president of the NORSU Federated Student Governments, Vince Villanueva, is a bonafide member of the BOR.

Dr. Bulado, student Villanueva, and OIC of the University Dr. Peter Dayot are entitled to vote for the next president of NORSU. (Joy Perez/NORSU)
