Dumaguete Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo has relaxed the curfew hours for business establishments and bars, allowing them to operate until 12 midnight.

Curfew hours shall now be from midnight until 4 a.m.

In issuing Executive Order No. 4 dated March 2, 2022, the Mayor also allowed the 24-hour operation of establishments offering essential services, taking into consideration the declining COVID-19 active cases and high vaccination rate at 144 percent of the target population.

However, minors, or those below 18-years-old, shall be regulated by the existing City Ordinance No. 115, series of 2006 on curfew, which is from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Establishments/bars engaged in serving food and alcoholic beverages shall operate only until 12:00 midnight, provided that management and staff shall be fully-vaccinated, and that indoor customers shall be strictly fully-vaccinated.

For outdoor (al fresco) dining, 100 percent venue capacity is allowed, provided that establishment staff and staff are fully-vaccinated.

Live band entertainment shall only be allowed until 10 p.m. under City Ordinance 80 series of 2003, even as food services would be allowed until midnight.

The adjustments of the curfew hours were made by the Mayor after consultations with members of the Executive Committee of the City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Dumaguete City shall also adopt and implement the Guidelines on the Nationwide Implementation of Alert Level System for COVID-19 Response, specifically Sec. 5 (Guidelines for Areas under Alert Level 2). (City PIO)
