The Bureau of Customs’ Sub-port Office in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental has reported that as of Oct. 11, this year, it has exceeded its target revenue collection for 2017 by more than Php 126.6 million.
Dumaguete Customs Collector Fe Lluelyn Toring disclosed on Wednesday that their actual collection has reached more than Php 1.429 billion from January 1 to Oct. 11, this year, over the 2017 targeted collection of Php 1,303. billion.
For the first 11 days of October alone, it has already collected Php 40 million plus, she said.
Records show that for the first quarter of the year, the Dumaguete sub-port office collected more than Php 443.4 million; the second quarter earned more than Php 425 million; and the third quarter, more than Php 521 million in revenues.
Toring expressed confidence that more income will be generated for the rest of the quarter and throughout the year.
She attributed most of the collections to Filoil, who is the leading importer of petroleum products and the biggest contributor to the Dumaguete Customs Sub-port Office. (Judy Flores Partlow/PNA)
