The Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) – Central Visayas has released the names of the 17 finalists from various universities and colleges in Region 7 who will vie for this year’s TOSP awardees.
The finalists will represent their respective schools to the TOSP search during its Formation Week on May 15 to 19 in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
The formation week will composed a series of interviews and activities as part of the evaluation of the deserving students.
TOSP finalists include Cherry Mae Gumapac of Silliman University taking up BS in Public Affairs; Eduard Joseph Narciso with Bachelor of Business Administration Major in Management Marketing from St. Paul University – Dumaguete; Jenith Brene Corpis, BS in Criminology, Negros Oriental State University; Von Jovi, BS in Architecture, and Robbie Austen Vailoces, BS in Information Technology both from Foundation University.
Jerald Ambe, BS in Accountancy, University of San Jose-Recoletos; Maximo Limbaga Jr., BS in Accountancy, University of Bohol; Raymart Aurora, BS in Electronics Engineering of the University of San Carlos; Stephen Bryan Bongcaras taking up BS in Nursing from Holy Name University.
Completing the 17 students include Jhanika Rafelle Almazan, BA in Mass Communication Major in Media Communication of Saint Theresa’s College; Sonny Boquecosa, BA in Political Science Major in Law & Policy Studies, University of San Carlos; Elinore Jean Malagar, BA in Liberal Arts & Commerce Majors in Communication & Marketing, University of San Jose-Recoletos; and Sean Timothy Salvador, BA in Mass Communication from the University of the Philippines-Cebu College.
The TOSP is an annual search which recognizes the best and the brightest students in the provinces of Region VII who have excelled in academics, leadership, and social responsibility.
The top 17 regional finalists were chosen by a pool of screeners coming from various fields of specialization. (JCT/PIA7)
