The Department of Agrarian Reform Provincial Office in coordination with the DAR Municipal Office of Sibulan had distributed lands and installed 13farmer beneficiaries in a landholding formerly owned by Julieta C. Pintor in Maningcao, Sibulan.

The installation of the beneficiaries to the eight hectare landholding was attended by Provincial Agrarian Reform OfficersStephen Leonidas and Lumel Chiu; municipal agrarian reform officer Benjamin E. Empig; Legal Assistance chif Atty. Louie Naranjo, and Brendan Trasmonte, manager of Philippine Coconut Development.

PARO Stephen M. Leonidas said in his message that the installation of the farmer-beneficiaries is just the start of their role as owners of the land.

He said the department has “a clear direction to help the beneficiaries,” however the Agrarian Beneficiaries should do their obligations and responsibilities, most especially their payment of taxes to the government and the annual amortization of the land to the Land Bank of the Philippines. (PR)
