To institutionalize the identity of the Department of Education Dumaguete City, a division logo and hymn was launched last March 30.

The hymn and logo were selected in a competition for all teaching and non-teaching personnel of the Division. Teacher Elixer Z. Dagoy of Piapi High School and education program supervisor Neri C. Ojastro won the grand prize for the logo and hymn contest respectively.

According to schools division superintendent Ramir B. Uytico, “The [logo and hymn] captures the true essence of the existence of the division. The vision, mission, and goals are also expressed.”

Present during the launching are the various education program supervisors, schools heads, and key City officials lead by City Councilor Franklin D. Esmena Jr.
