We had a successful National Family Week Culmination last September 30, 2023 in the Dumaguete Stake!

I really enjoyed planning and organizing this year’s Family Week Celebration with my amazing co-chair Nikki Soloa’i

Started planning last June with one common goal to celebrate it stress and hassle free with families and friends focusing more on meaningful engagements to enhance relationships.

And what perfect way to do it was through a very well planned Family Fun Fair!

Extremely grateful and humbled to be given the privilege to lead this year and see our entire plan manifest on point and on time. And it was made possible by the effort and commitment of everyone who participated.

We commenced with a festive parade of disney costumes from Movies like Moana, Encanto etc. accompanied by the best Banda Mangga to kickstart the event.

The event was divided into two parts. First part concentrated on the engagement through games and activities and the second part was allotted to the talents of the Dumaguete Stake.

We commenced with booth games while simultaneously displaying a motion picture or film that showcased about Families.

A full experience of blackout theater was given to the audience as they enjoyed trending movies like Encanto and Lilo & Stitch!

In the afternoon, 8 extremely talented performers showcased their performances hyping the audience in full enjoyment.

Special mention to the best Mic Man! Pres. Miko Lado really gave us the energy we needed during that day! No dead air! Everything was just on the go.

Afterwards, announcing of multiple awards were given to creative individuals including families who put their best efforts into parading their DIY costumes and decorating their individual booths.

The event was then culminated with a wonderful video coverage capturing important and happy details giving an impressive impact to all of us as we throw this one momentous event to the books!

And We All did it together!

Everyone was amazing in their respective efforts and a wonderful display of togetherness was once again witnessed in this year’s Family Week Celebration.

Another testament that if we all work together we can do great and wonderful things.

And of course we cannot take credit alone in this success as this was made possible through our very supportive Stake Presidency, Pres. Jose Ray Pinili Credo , Pres. Miko Dave Lado  and Pres. Jorge A. Alit II who never doubted us since day 1.

Also to our Communications director, Farah Villaverde  who gave us prompt guidance on everything we had to do.

Our event was lovely graced by the chairperson of Family Life, Children and Special Needs group, Hon. Aping Cordova who was fitting to share and instill a very touching and heartfelt message for all of us listening during the celebration.

Hon. City Counselor Bernice Anne Elmaco also graciously participated in the activities and toured around festive booths to see creations of the latter. She was also very blessed to learn of the family tree app and the wonders of it thanks to sis Emily Loresco Cruz and sis Princess Remolano along with their team.

Other equally important guests like the PNP Dumaguete and the Dumaguete City Family Council also participated in the said event.

Overall, it was really a team effort. So many people contributed to this success and Heavenly Father sees their hearts.

Finally, we wana glorify our Heavenly Father for sustaining our righteous desires and efforts.

As our Living Prophet even Prophet Russell M. Nelson have said,

“The Lord loves effort because effort brings rewards that can’t come without.”
