The City of Dumaguete reports having a total of 32 active Covid cases as of Friday.

A press statement said the tally includes the six new cases announced that day.

Dumaguete City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases said since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to April 2, 2021 a total of 541 COVID-19 cases were recorded. There have also been 479 recoveries and 30 deaths.

The 6 new COVID-19 cases are: 55-year-old male BPO employee and the 82-year-old woman, both close contacts of NEGOR-COV 677; the 36-year-old wife and 29-year-old female house helper of NEGOR-COV 661; a 47-year-old engineer now admitted at a hospital and the 75-year-old grandmother also admitted at a hospital.

Meanwhile, the 6 recoveries include: the 20-year-old son of NEGOR-COV 562; the 17-year-old grandson of NEGOR-COV 595; the 56-year-old and 46-year-old daughters and 27-year-old grandson of NEGOR-COV 573 and 60-year-old male vendor.

Meanwhile, 10 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) are under strict isolation as they are known contacts of COVID-19 patients in Barangays Taclobo, Motong, Daro, Talay and Junob.
