The projects will include the construction of a three-storey/six-classroom school building and the completion of the two-storey/two-classroom school building for Camanjac National High School; a two-storey/six-classroom school building for Cantil-e Elementary School; two-storey/eight-classroom school building and improvement of the covered stage for the Cadawinonan Elementary School; a two-storey/eight-classroom school building for North City Elementary School in barangay Piapi; a two-storey/two-classroom school building and completion of the two-storey/two-classroom building for Junob National High School; a two-storey/two-classroom school building for Calindagan Elementary School; a two-storey/eight-classroom school building for South City Elementary School in barangay Mangnao; and the electrical upgrade for the Dumaguete City National High School.

Both the city government and the Department of Education here have reiterated their commitment to “improve access and quality of instruction for the thousands of learners enrolled in the public schools,” the media release said.

City Schools Division Supt. Dr. Gregorio Cyrus Elejorde lauded the Mayor and the city government for their “consistent support” to DepEd-Dumaguete’s projects especially amidst the challenges during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. (Judy F. Partlow/PNA)
