Three runners of the Dumaguete Amateur Runners & Striders (DARS) recently “finished strong” in the Warrior 50 (Plus 3) ultra-running event that crossed the towns and cities of Cordova, Consolacion, and Liloan, and Lapu-lapu and Mandaue in Cebu.
Dr. Simon Eric Flores, ear-nose-throat specialist at the Silliman Medical Center, was the 15th among 171 runners to cross the finish line, with a time of 6 hours and 20 seconds.
His fellow runners from Dumaguete were Rosalito Albina who finished #19 after 6 hours and 13 minutes, and Jeorly Banogon who completed in 6 hours and 34 minutes. They were among the 85 percent of 200 runners who finished within the nine-hour cut-off to run the 53-km race course. (Photos by Reynan Opada)
