All four Dumaguete universities— Foundation University, Negros Oriental State University, St. Paul University Dumaguete, and Silliman University—scored a 100 percent passing rate in the November 2024 Nurse Licensure Examination, with Silliman graduate Czar Hannah Beliña placing ninth among the topnotchers, with a rating of 90.80.
The Professional Regulation Commission also listed SPUD as one of the top performing schools with over 100 examinees, while SU and NORSU were named among the top performing schools in the country with 50-99 examinees.
Among the new nurses from Dumaguete schools, SPUD produced 136, followed by Silliman University with 83, NORSU with 68, and Foundation University with 34.
Meanwhile, according to the PRC, 29,349 out of 34,534 examinees passed the examination, resulting in a national passing rate of 84.99 percent. (AP)
