The SU College of Education, through its training arm—the Center of Excellence in Learning, Teaching & Assessment—is set to host the Negros Island Region Student-Teachers Summit on May 2–3 at Silliman University.
With the theme Enhancing Teaching and Learning through Classroom-Based Action Research, the summit provides a platform for student-teachers to present their Classroom-Based Action Research papers, and engage in discussions on their research findings and experiences through parallel sessions.
The event aims to enhance the participants’ knowledge, refine their research and pedagogical skills, and foster professional dispositions that support the use of CBAR to inform and improve classroom instruction.
Furthermore, the summit highlights the crucial nexus between research and teaching, promoting a culture of inquiry, innovation, and reflective practice among future educators.
Abstract submissions are open until April 12. Accepted participants will be notified by April 19.
A highlight of the summit is the Best CBAR Paper Competition. From the pool of submitted abstracts, the top 10 will be shortlisted, with the authors notified by April 19. Selected participants must submit their full papers by April 28. Following a rigorous review process, the Best CBAR Paper and two runners-up will be chosen.
