A compilation of online articles on six themes gives face to the new digital magazine released on the Silliman University website this week specifically for faculty and staff members.

Named WeekUp, the online publication showcases reading materials that seek to assist readers in achieving work-life balance. It follows six themes: Family Life, Health and Wellness, Humor at Work, Inspirational Videos, Skill Enhancer and Money Matters.

WeekUp is a play of the line “wake up!” It is released every Monday by the Office of Information and Publications (OIP) to help readers pump up their week. It complements an existing e-newsletter that the Silliman website auto-generates every Sunday. (To subscribe to the e-newsletter, click: Newsletter.)

Its maiden issue leads readers to the following articles: “A Problem Solving Parent: Bonding, A Family Affair”, “Weight Loss Diets: What You Need To Know”, “Telephone Etiquette”, “Seven Tips of a Successful Sideline Business”, a video on “Patience” and “Not So Helpful,” a humor at work feature.

The public can access this new digital magazine through its link found under the “Faculty & Staff” tab on the homepage of the Silliman website.

WeekUp is a project of the OIP done in partnership with the Human Resource Development office and the Staff Development Committee. (Mark Garcia/SU OIP)
