The De La Salle Univesity Taft-Green Archers squeezed past the University of San Carlos Cebu-Warriors, winning by a slim margin, 66-55 in the highlight game of the 2nd day of the Goodwill Invitational Basketball Games held March 7 at the Lamberto Macias Sports & Cultural Center.
In a thrilling game watched by a jampacked crowd, the DLSU-Green Archers willed their way in the 4th quarter led by the heroics of star-player Jeron Alvin Teng, and the intense and fast-paced plays of Guihulgan’s own, now DLSU’s point guard Thomas Torres, who gave the Green Archers the extra muscle and intensity to win versus the determined USC-Warrriors .
During the dying minutes of the 4th quarter that saw the USC Warriors catching up, a schuffle ensued between the teams but was immediately pacified by the SBP officiating officials. After which, USC made several turnovers that led to DLSU Archers hanging on to their slim margin until the dying seconds of the game, and completing their dominance in the Goodwill Games.

March 7: 1st game AC-lightnings vs NORSU -Tigers ,77-64; 2nd game DLSU -Green Archers vs USC-Warriors, 66-55.
