Department of Health – Central Visayas Assistant Regional Director Dr. Sophia M. Mancao presented to Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo and City Engineer Loyd Tenaja the proposed establishment of the Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Services in Dumaguete City to further enhance the delivery of healthcare services in the barangays.

According to DOH BUCAS is a primary health hub offering outpatient consultations, laboratory tests, minor surgeries, and emergency care to be operated by the DOH and serve as an extension of DOH hospitals.

Mayor Remollo notes that aside from the City Health Office 2 (Satellite Clinic) and Super Family Clinic, the City Government is also about to complete the construction of the new City Health Office Building in Barangay Talay, which may be utilized for the program so that the DOH will only provide for the equipment and health personnel.

During the presentation, Dr. Mancao was accompanied by her staff Dr. Joan Antonette Albito, Ms. Elaine Mae B. Gaco-Sablan, Mr. Roldan A. Cubille and DOH-Negros Oriental Development Management Officer V Jennifer C. Remollo. (City PIO) Department of Health – Central Visayas Assistant Regional Director Dr. Sophia M.
