St. Louis School-Don Bosco launched its anti-bullying campaign last July 31 to Aug. 2 with the theme, “Remembering the Anti-bullying Campaign to Uphold Respect, Fellowship, and Brotherhood” in support of the Department of Education’s policies and guidelines against child violence and abuse in the school.
SLS-DB, the pioneering institution in Negros Oriental to celebrate a climate of conducive learning through its anti-bullying drive, conducted a list of activities including the orientation for the elementary and high school students, poster-making contest, photo essay competition, and a grand parade. One of the striking slogans read, “Be a BUDDY not a BULLY”.
The activities were aimed at increasing awareness among the student body, and whole Don Bosco community on the drastic effects of bullying to students.
Moreover, the school adheres to one of its missions of providing a safe and secure learning environment where everyone learns and establishes a healthy working relationship.
The activities were organized by the Guidance Department and Student Affairs Office in cooperation with the Pupil Government and Student Government.
