Don Bosco tops extempo contest

Senior High School students from St. Louis School-Don Bosco, St. Paul University, and the Colegio de Sta. Catalina de Alejandria won the top spots in the K-12 Extemporaneous Speaking Competition, one of the academic activities held to celebrate the fiesta in this University Town.

First prize of P5,000 plus trophy went to Krizia Austelle Gandola of Don Bosco; 2nd prize of P3,000 plus trophy was won by Jose Fernando Toledo of St. Paul; while the 3rd place went to Jose Nico Maicom of COSCA with P2,000 plus trophy.

The Extemporaneous Speaking contest, with the theme Celebrating Dumaguete at 68: Its People, Events and Places, was presented Nov. 21 by the Dumaguete Festival & Arts Society Inc headed by William Christopher Dichoso.

The Board of Judges was composed of public speakers City Councilor Atty. Manuel Arbon, Bimbo Miraflor, and Dr. Dinno Depositario. (DuFAS PR)
