DOST joins 3rd annual educ fair in Dauin

Senior High School students in Dauin, Negros Oriental gathered for scholarship opportunities that could serve as their springboard to higher education.

The local government unit of Dauin, led by Mayor Galicano Truita, hosted the 3rd Annual Education Fair, bringing together various higher education institutions in the Province, and government agencies that offer scholarship programs.

Among the scholarship providers who graced the event were Silliman University, Foundation University, Asian College, Department of Science & Technology, the Technical Education & Skills Development Authority, and the Department of Labor & Employment.

DOST presented its scholarship programs given through the Science Education Institute. The focus in the sciences hopes to promote science and technology education scholarships for students in Dauin entering college.

About 400 students and their parents interested in securing DOST scholarships visited the DOST desk during the annual education fair. They inquired about eligibility standards, requirements, application procedure, exam requirements, and scholarship benefits. (DOST PR)
