Police arrested a suspected high-value target (HVT) drug pusher, and confiscated suspected shabu from the suspect during an anti-illegal drugs operation Wednesday afternoon in barangay Pulantubig.
A police report on Thursday identified the suspect as Rockwell Estoconing Cabano, 55 years old, married, during the service of a search warrant at Purok Punay in Pulantubig.
Cabano is tagged as a high value target and an alleged member of the “local drug group”, the police report said.
Recovered during the anti-narcotics operations were one piece heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, one bundle of aluminum tin foil, two pieces of transparent plastic sachet and three pieces assorted disposable lighters.
Members of the Provincial Intelligence Branch/Special Operations Group, the Dumaguete City Police Station, and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency effeted the service of the search warrant issued on June 27 by Executive Judge Gerardo Paguio Jr. of the Regional Trial Court of Negros Oriental.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act as amended have been filed against the suspect who is now under detention. (Judy Flores Partlow)
