Two suspected drug pushers and an alleged user were arrested in anti-illegal drugs operations in Siaton town and Guihulngan City in Negros Oriental Thursday.
In Guihulngan City, police arrested Encarnito Serion Soledad in a buy-bust operation, and a raid on his residence.
Soledad, 48, single, and a resident of Guihulngan, was nabbed after he allegedly sold suspected shabu to an undercover agent at around 4:45 p.m.
The raid on his house was made by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Kennedy Duka. Police said they seized 14 transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, a tooter, tin foil, a test tube and suspected drug paraphernalia.
The police also arrested Marla Ompoc Jaylan, 38, of P. Zamora, Guihulngan City, who was allegedly caught in the act of sniffing shabu and confiscated from her a plastic sachet of suspected shabu, police records show.
Soledad and Jaylan are now detained, and charges for violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act were to be filed against them yesterday.
In Siaton, police arrested Zosimo Pajuelas, 59, a widower, and resident of Barangay Poblacion 2 when he sold shabu to an undercover agent after midnight Thursday. Seized from him were two transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu.
Siaton police said the suspect had been under close surveillance for some time after they received a tip from civilians that he was selling shabu. Pajuelas is now detained and anti-drugs charges are being readied against him. (JFP)
