Two suspected drug pushers were arrested in separate raids Wednesday evening in Dumaguete City by members of the Philippine National Police Special Operations Group of the Provincial Intelligence Branch.
First to fall was a certain Phillip Ellenar Mirador of Barangay Tinago in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental, who was arrested in a buy bust operation at Sitio Canday-ong, Barangay Calindagan here.
Members of the PNP-SOG seized from Mirador a transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu and a P500 marked bill used during the buy bust.
Mirador is believed to be an alleged known drug pusher in Canday-ong.
Shortly afterwards, another PNP-SOG team swooped down on a suspected drug pusher in Barangay Looc and arrested him in a buy bust operation.
Confiscated from the suspect, a certain Rober Kitane, 21, single, of Barangay Cadawinonan, Dumaguete, were a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu and P500 marked money, a lighter case, a disposable lighter and a mobile phone.
Kitane had initially managed to evade arrest but a chase that ensued eventually led to his arrest after he was trapped inside a commercial compound in the coastal village of Looc.
