Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine National Police in Negros Oriental have arrested a suspected drug personality during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Siaton town over the weekend.
An initial police report identified the suspect as Jenny Caro Borreros, male, 35 years old, married, and currently residing in Barangay Inalad, Siaton town but who originally hails from Barangay Bagacay, Dumaguete City.
Initial police investigation showed that at around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, joint elements of the PDEA-Negros Oriental, headed by Agent Jason Cabataña and the Siaton Police Station, headed by its police chief, Chief Insp. Juvinal Rado, conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Inalad.
The suspect is in the priority watch list of suspected drug personalities here, the report said.
Borreros was arrested after he allegedly sold suspected shabu to an undercover PDEA operative for P2,500. Five more pieces of transparent plastic sachet containing white granules believed to be shabu were recovered from his possession and control following the buy-bust operation.
The law enforcement agencies are to file cases against Borreros, who is now detained, for violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs at the prosecutor’s office. (Judy Flores Partlow/PNA)
