The Drugstores Association of the Philippines-Negros Oriental and Siquijor Chapter has donated personal protective equipment gear to the Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office as the province entered the second day of its extended enhanced community quarantine.
Col. Julian Entoma, provincial police director, received the donation at the NOPPO headquarters at Camp Francisco Fernandez in Agan-an, Sibulan, Negros Oriental on Monday, said Chief M/Sgt. Edilberto Euraoba III, NOPPO public information officer, in a media release.
The DSAP-Negros Oriental/Siquijor Chapter, headed by its president, Reynaldo Roca of DOH Pharmacy, vice president Haidee Lou Fuentes of HL Pharmacy in Bais City, and Chiqui Fabillar, national DSAP officer for Visayas and proprietor of Botica de San Francisco, turned over face shields and four thermal scanners to Entoma.
This is a “gesture of strong support as we continue our mission of preventing and eliminating Covid-19 in the Province),” they were quoted as saying.
Euraoba further quoted DSAP president Reynaldo Roca as saying that more equipment will follow and will be handed over to the provincial police command soon.
Entoma, who expressed gratitude for the donation, said “this will boost the morale of his men in the field, knowing that more concerned and responsible people are uniting for the welfare of the community we serve,” Euraoba quoted him as saying. (Judy F. Partlow/PNA)
